Enjoying by far his most impressive road season, Lyons took second in the Tour of Indonesia general classification after a stage win and twice wearing the leader's jersey.
He finished 91 seconds behind tour winner Thomas Lebas from France.
The 23-year-old, who rides for Oliver's Real Food, took out the first stage over 182.7km and also went on to finish third in the points category.
Lyons has had a fine season in Asia,
He was third in the Le Tour de Filipinas general classification after finishing second in a stage, and took out the king of mountain jerseys in the the Tour de Tochigi in Japan and Led Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia.
Lyons has also been riding in the National Road Series and is just outside the top 10.
The next NRS event, the Tour of the Great South Coast, begins at Mt Gambier on Tuesday.
