These are just a couple of the ideas being discussed for the Fringe Benefits event planned for the eve of the Spilt Milk festival which takes place at the end of November.
Its organiser, Tara Poole, put a call out for performers and venue back in July and since then 58 different performers have come forward, along with 43 venues.
Ms Poole, who coordinates the council's new creative city strategy, said they were currently at a "match-making" phase of the preparation work where they were trying to align performers with the right location.
While nothing is confirmed yet, ideas include an 80s DJ at Bridge Mall, and a set performed by DJ Slyshun at the city's artisan bakery 1816.
Pipers by the Lake may also host a procession of opera singers singing arias on the day.
Other possibilities include a trance DJ turning in a performance at a local laundromat, although Ms Poole stressed that these are still just at the discussion stage and there was no guarantee all the ideas would come off.
She said she was hoping to use five outdoor spaces dotted around the city with a range of different performers.
The Fringe Benefits events is scheduled to take place for 12 hours, from noon to midnight on Friday November 29.
The Spilt Milk Festival will take place the following day, from 11am on Saturday November 30, the week after the same line-up appears in Canberra.
Around 24,000 festival-goers are expected to be in the city for the festival, which includes headline acts such as Khalid, CHVRCHES and Juice WRLD.
According to Ms Poole, an estimated 7,000 visitors are expected to be wandering Ballarat's CBD on the eve of the event on Friday.
Jodie Gillett of Commerce Ballarat said members who run accommodation were reporting a high rate of two-night bookings for that weekend. Just one venue said they still had vacancies.
AirBnB is also showing very limited availability for the weekend more than 10 weeks in advance of the events taking place.
Ms Poole said she was looking forward to confirming the performances at the Fringe Benefits events, including some from artists she hadn't heard of before.
"It's been wonderful seeing new people coming out of the woodwork," she said.
Ms Poole said she hoped the event might become an annual fixture in the Ballarat events calendar if it were a success this time round.
A full schedule should be available by the first week in November, Ms Poole said.
