Keeble (hamstring) and Goodes (calf) each trained on Tuesday night - showing no sign of the injuries which have forced them to miss finals.

"We nearly could have squeezed them in last week (against Melton in the preliminary final)," Petersen told a BFL grand final press conference on Wednesday.

"We had to back ourselves in to get the job done.

"Now they can come back 100 per cent."

Petersen highlighted the value of Goodes' VFL grand final experience for the clash with East Point at Mars Stadium.

The 35-year-old played in two VFL premierships with North Ballarat Roosters and another with Footscray.

Sebastopol coach Leigh Hutchinson confirmed that all Goodes and Keeble needed to do to be selected was get through training on Thursday night.

Although Sebastopol is playing in its first BFL grand final since 2000, Petersen ruled out any suggestion of nerves.

"No, no nerves. We've got enough blokes who have played finals at some stage."

He said they were out to enjoy the experience, but not getting ahead of themselves in relation to expectations.

East Point co-captain Matt Johnston said one of the big differences for the Roos this season was going from being the hunter to the hunted.

He said other than that he did not believe anything would different in the grand final.

"We're still going to play our way, hunting the opposition. Nothing really changes."

Johnston said the main change in preparation had been not having to play in the preliminary final as it had last season. "We're coming in a bit fresher."

He said there was also greater competition for places in the side.

"There's a lot more boys putting their hands up. Last year we were calling out for numbers," Johnston said.

He summed up his thoughts by saying East Point was taking nothing for granted in pursuit of back-to-back flags.
