CFA crews were called to the scene about 4.50pm Wednesday.
Firefighters on the scene said a car was being driven around cleared land and appeared to have run in to some scrub where it overheated and ignited.
About 10m of bushland on either side of the car was burnt before three CFA crews bought the blaze under control.
No one was injured in the incident.
