Short, playing for the Victoria in the Marsh One-Day Cup, struggled on Saturday in a 125-run loss to Western Australia, making 16 off 23 devilries before being caught out.
Short's 26 runs helped Victoria to a total of 185 in its next outing against Tasmania, however the side looked to be in a world of trouble as the Devils needed just six runs with five wickets in hand and more than 10 overs remaining.
Chasing a bonus point victory, Tasmania started swinging for the fences in the hope of completing the chase in under 40 overs. This resulted in five wickets over the next three overs and a win for Victoria.
Watch the thrilling finish here:
Victoria's next game of the Marsh One-Day Cup will be against Queensland on Sunday afternoon.
