Even worse, he said he's since spotted it parked in Wendouree, attached to another car.
Bishal Poudel said the licence plate and branding had been removed, as had all the equipment he needs for his cleaning business.
"We've lost a job already," he said.
"All the equipment was on it, it's just been a really bad week - a lot of people were depending on me."
He said the trailer was taken last Sunday night, and he saw it in the Wendouree Anaconda car park on Thursday afternoon attached to a white ute.
"It's so disappointing," he said.
"Hopefully someone spots the trailer so I can at least get the equipment back."
The equipment is worth a significant amount of money, he added.
Police confirmed they are investigating - Mr Poudel said he has been down to the police station every day since the trailer was stolen, hoping for more news.
"It is understood the trailer was attached to a vehicle parked on Nicholson Street, before it was stolen between 10.30pm and 1.15am - the vehicle was not stolen however (it) did sustain damage," a police statement said.
"Investigators received a report that the trailer was sighted attached to a white Ute in the Wendouree area on 3 October, the exact circumstances are still being established."
The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone who sees the trailer or with any information is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
