The 'McKee' sisters, Emily Shelmerdine, Lydia McKee, Naomi McKee and Esther McKee are finally getting a chance to perform as one as they have all reached an age where they can compete together.
With the youngest, Esther, now reaching 'senior' age and the eldest, Emily, returning to calisthenics for one more year, the four will hit the restored stage in the Championship Reserve Seniors section with their Jayde Calisthenic teammates
This year it's the first time all the girls have been able to compete in the same age group
Mother Pam McKee said the girls had been involved in calisthenics since they were babies, so 24 years later, it was special to see them together as one.
"It was always in the back of my mind that my girls could one day form part of a team together," Ms McKee said.
"It has been delightful watching the girls practice together in the same routines, prepare for class and competitions together and support each other as they juggle study, work and the sport they love."
Ms McKee also competed as a child and young adult said she knows the commitment and hard work required to achieve the standard of calisthenics today.
She said somewhat surprisingly the girls all happily shared their bathroom growing up.
"We do have two bathrooms at home, but they've always got along so well, we're incredibly fortunate that the girls have always looked out for one another," she said.
