Aikman will play his 300th game for the club when he takes the oval against Buninyong this weekend.
Aikman said the milestone had yet to sink in.
"It's my 300th for the club but I've played another 150 or so before getting to Ballarat," he said.
"It's a good feeling to reach that milestone with this club which is pretty special to my heart."
Now playing in his 27th year for the club, Aikman joined Ballarat-Redan in 1992 after coming over from Geelong.
He played in two premiership-winning sides in the summer of 2007 and 2011 before taking over as club president in 2013.
While he admitted he wasn't in as good nick as he once was, he said he can still hold his own with the bat and ball..
"My training would interlock with my football, and since retiring I do a lot of cross training and riding," he said.
