He secured the title, which he first won in 1993, at the Loxton Show in SAouth Australia.
Peterkin from Warrenheip threw 13.5 metres ahead of a packed interstate field.
Daniel Schache (SA), Scott Weir (SA), Sheridan Holland (SA) and Sean Vinar (Tasmania) filled the next four placings after a series of countbacks, with each throwing 13.25m in windy conditions in the open event.
