Darley and Wendouree remain the only unbeaten teams after the opening two rounds of the Ballarat Cricket Association first grade season.
The sides backed up their round one wins with respective one-day triumphs on Saturday afternoon.
Widely touted as genuine premiership contenders in season 2019-20, the Lions clinched a comfortable 70-run success over Mt Clear.
Playing at home, Darley scrambled its way to a handy 8-187 thanks largely to an unbeaten ninth-wicket stand of 61 between Ryan Ali (58 not out) and Rahmatullah Khwaja (27 not out).
Ali was then a star with the ball as the Mounties were knocked over for 117.
He took three wickets while recruit Madushanka Ekanayaka snared four to lead the hosts to a big win.
The Red Caps' batting was once again a focal point in its victory over Napoleons-Sebastopol.
Heath Pyke (56), Cole Roscholler (56) and Sam Miller (37) all made handy scores as Wendouree posted 8-209 batting first.
Tom Godson (3-24), Angus Creelman (2-10) and Ryan Simmonds (2-23) then did the damage to dismiss the home side for a disappointing 108.
Wendouree skipper Gavin Webb said it was great to get early wins, but was already casting his mind ahead to the mouthwatering battle with Darley next weekend.

East Ballarat is on the board for season 2019-20 after sneaking over the line against Ballarat-Redan at Russell Square.
The reigning premiers chased down the Two Swords' total of 213 in the last over of the game to secure a two-wicket success.
Captain Josh Brown (30 not out) was there at the end alongside Nicholas Hynes (three not out).
Chris Jerram's knock of 59 laid the platform for victory for East Ballarat, while Ballarat-Redan's gun recruit Sam Burgess again impressed with a quickfire 66 from 52 balls. Burgess' teammate Jayden Hayes also got 46.
The best of the bowlers was Hawks coach Tristan Dixon, who snared 4-33.
East Ballarat opening batsman Lewis Hodgins said it was good to record the first win of the season.
"We wanted to keep them under 250 at the start of the day, so to get them at 213 we were pretty happy," he said.
"With one run to win in the last over they brought their field right up, so we were pretty confident of hitting over the top and we did."

Over at Buninyong, it was Golden Point young gun Josh Pegg that starred.
Pegg, who just returned from the under-17 national championships, scored his maiden first grade century as the Pointies reached 8-250.
The 16-year-old made 101 and batted for long periods with skipper Josh White (60).
"He was very composed and he was very aware of the game," White said of Pegg.
"It was just a really mature innings for a 16-year-old kid."
Despite 51 from captain Liam Brady and 47 from recruit Mayank Sharma, Buninyong could only manage 176 in reply.
