Emergency services were called to the two car smash at the corner of Old Creswick Rd and Heinz Lane about 10.40pm.

One of the occupants was trapped in her car so firefighters worked to remove the door to make access for paramedics.

Paramedics treated a woman in her 60s for chest injuries and transported her to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.
