Having lost its last four games, one of which was a forfeit, the Falcons were looking to build some momentum in the back half of the season.
Ballarat was able to do just that, firing on all cylinders en route to a 54-32 win over Melton.
Sitting in eighth-place, the Falcons next game will be a major test, coming up against the second-placed Melton Warriors on the road.
