Having spent eight years coaching Trentham in the Maryborough Castlemaine Football League, Scoble has ample experience rebuilding a club stuck towards the bottom of the ladder.
Speaking to The Courier, Scoble said he is excited for the new challenge.
"Going to a strange club and being removed for the Central Highlands for eight years is exciting for me," he said.
"The challenge is going to be taking this side from the bottom end to being a contender around finals time... making finals is going to be our expectation."
Over his eight years with Trentham, Scoble took the club from second last on the ladder to a perennial grand final contender.
Always looking to build from the ground up, the new coach said the Saints' young talent was a major contributor in his decision so come to Carngham-Linton.
"I'm very big on youth and Carngham-Linton have got a very good junior program.
"Their under-18's had a very competitive year so we're looking at bringing some of them on and giving them some senior experience knowing that they're capable.
"We're looking at developing these kids and hopefully keeping them for a number of years."
Heading to the pre-season, Scoble said he will be running an intense training program.
If they want a spot in this side they're going to have to put in the hard-yards this pre-season,

"I'll be coming in, putting the foot down and running a fairly intense pre-season to make sure we're able to run for four quarters of footy.
"We want to play a fast, high intensity brand of footy."
After retaining much of its list heading into 2020, the coach said if the side can bring in some of its under-18 players, he is confident a finals appearance is achievable.
"From what I've been told the list is very strong... I think only two players from last year are yet to commit to the club.
"If we can bring in some of our juniors and have them develop faster than some may anticipate, I'm confident we will be a finals contender."
Scoble was part of Daylesford's 2007 and 2009 flags and played over 200 CHFL and Ballarat league games with the club of which he is a life member.
