The Ballarat Batlers took home the first-place finish in its third year participating in the carnival which provides an avenue for people with disabilities to play cricket.
Batlers captain David Jenkins said it felt great to be rewarded for the hard work the group had put together.
"It was fantastic," he said.
"All the hard work that we've put in over the past three years to compete in the carnival led to this. When we found out we won we were all jumping around and hugging each other."
Entering the carnival Jenkins said he knew the Batlers were a good chance to take home top prize as Wyndham, who had won the past seven carnivals, were not participating.
Jenkins said he is already looking towards next year and defending the Batlers' freshly won title.
"We'll head back next year... defending champions has a nice ring to it so we want to win it again."
