Emergency services were first called when the car was first spotted to be on fire in Sulky just before 7.30am.
It was torched on Jubilee Road, about 15 metres away from where the dirt track runs underneath the train line.
It is not yet known if the car was stolen, although police were called to the scene.
The fire was brought under control about 7.45am.
A CFA spokesperson at the scene told The Courier that although the area around the fire was relatively green, it would quickly dry out in the coming months.
He said car fires such as the one this morning could easily start a bushfire.
