A maximum temperature of just 11 degrees is forecast for Friday - and it's not going to get much better on Saturday.
Despite being less than a month away from the start of summer, it will feel very much like we are in the depths of winter over the next few days.
There is unlikely to be a huge amount of rainfall over the next couple of days, but the windy weather and low temperatures are certain to give the showgrounds a certain Ballarat-like chill.
This comes in stark contrast to last week's blissful run of days where Ballarat nudged the high 20s every day.
What's the good news out of all of this? It's going to heat up next week.
By Tuesday we can expect a very pleasant 28 degrees.
