Price, 58, who resides in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States is touring the country with his "The Classics" performance, an intimate, acoustic show.
Price says he prefers to perform acoustically as he feels it allows him to better connect with his audience.
"It's more of an intimate connection with the audience, it's a relaxed environment that I find is great for story telling," he told The Courier.

"It allows me to tell the stories behind the songs, what I was doing when they were written and what they mean to me. I love it when people come up to me after the shows and talk about what the music means to them."
Having performed in Ballarat many times previously, Price says he is hoping for another captivated and welcoming audience come Friday night.
"I've performed in Ballarat quite a few times... it's quite a famous old town and I've only ever had good experiences with Ballarat audiences."
He says he loves performing in rural areas and believes audiences like in Ballarat are some of the best for musicians.
"Any audience that's interested in listening and connecting is a great audience. I think in some of those regional areas are great because not every circus comes to town. I find those audiences very intimate and personal."
