It is the sixth year the Creswick Garden Lover's Weekend is being hosted, with 10 diverse private gardens and seven commercial gardens and nurseries open around the wider Creswick area for green thumbs to enjoy.
Arriving at Claire and Clive Chadder's Creswick home, it looks just like any other. But in following the garden path around to the backyard, visitors will be delighted by the abundant garden bursting with brightly coloured blooms, the bountiful veggie garden, manicured lawns and creatively constructed structures formed from recycled materials.
"I like to keep the garden plain out the front so it is a surprise when people come out the back," Ms Chadder said.

The Chadders, who are entering the event a second time this year, purchased their Creswick home eight years ago, when the backyard was simply a lawn area with a Hills Hoist.
Ms Chadder has loved creating her garden and filling it with a collection of unique and diverse plants. She spends time in her garden each day.
Their home is named Vention Cottage as an homage to Mr Chadder's home in Zimbabwe, from which he migrated with his boys in 1981.
Meanwhile, the Creswick Garden Club will host its Flower and Home Crafts Show at the Town Hall.
The Creswick Garden Lover's Weekend will be hosted this weekend, November 9 and 10, with maps and ticket collection from Creswick Neighbourhood Centre. Tickets also available online at Trybooking.com
