A primary school-aged child is in a stable condition in Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital after a scary incident on Sunday afternoon.

The young girl was reportedly thrown from her horse and possibly trampled on in the accident in Springmount, near Creswick, which was reported to paramedics at 12.24pm.
Spokespeople from Ambulance Victoria and the Royal Children's Hospital said the young girl was in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
A family member, who said it was "just an accident", declined to comment further.
