The 19-year-old, who died in a quad bike accident at Leitchville in northern Victoria earlier this month, was remembered as a happy, friendly, loving mate and son who was always ready to help his friends.

He was studying mining engineering in at Federation University Ballarat.

Blake's godmother Elly Craig said the family was touched by the outpouring of support they had received from the community.

"Mark and Vanessa (Blake's parents) have been blown away by the kindness shown by everyone," Mrs Craig said.

"They have been reached out to by so many people in the community, people they didn't even know.

"It has helped them comes to terms with such a shocking event."

Mrs Craig said Blake had packed more into his 19 years then most people do their whole life, and had an attitude of "can't say can't".

"We have a slogan 'Do it for Blake' and if anyone takes anything from this please remember you can't say can't," she said.

"Even his mum tackled her first four-wheel-drive river crossing, something she was scared to do, because she wanted to do it for Blake.

"We want people to share their adventures and achievements on the 'Do it for Blake' Facebook page. Blake has taught us this life is a short life so we need to make it count."

Blake's best friend Jayden Atkins said he was a "fine young man taken way too soon".

"He was a happy, friendly, loving mate, more like a brother to us," Mr Atkins said.

"(Blake) took life day by day and lived life to the absolute fullest. He would always have a go at something, which was one of his strongest attributes."

Brauer College pastoral care teacher Will King said Blake was a confident person who could build strong and lasting relationships with other people.

"Blake was influential in creating harmony and unity within the form group," he said.
