The former Karova Lounge shut its doors and dimmed its stage lights for the final time on October 20, ending a 15-year run as one of the region's best live music venues.
Now, the lounge is set for new life, however exactly what will be going into the space remains unknown.
The venue at 15 Field Street is still operating as a private space until Christmas 2019, hosting a number of events run outside of the former lounge's new owner.

In the new year the venue is set for a drastic re-brand and renovation, with the intention to re-open to the public as a new Ballarat nightspot.
Speaking to the venue's new owner, a prominent figure in Ballarat's night-life scene, The Courier was told the space will act as "something in both the live music and Ballarat nightlife space."
Only last year, the venue won the Best Regional Venue with more than 50 gigs per year at the Music Victoria Awards.
It is nominated in the same awards category again this year, with winners announced on November 20.
