As of of now, the team is in second place and will look to fortify its spot this Saturday at home against the Newcastle Jets.
The fledgling club, which will play four home games in Ballarat later this season, has been on tear of late, having won three of its past four outings.
Rudan said the club was a great place to be at the moment.
"The staff enjoy coming to work and being around the players and vice-versa," he said.
"They've raised their own bar in terms of expectations on the training track and they're looking forward to the next challenge which is against Newcastle on Saturday.
"It's been a pleasure to work with a group like this who raise their own bar when they have to."
The green and black won its first game in Geelong last week and will make its way to Ballarat in December.
Rudan hoped the regional cities were beginning to take notice of the team's early success.
"We're playing games in Ballarat and we are taking the game out to those areas, so we've got to make sure we put our best foot forward every week," he said.
