Waterhouse won the third edition of the classic with Carriages in 2014.
The 1000m dash has attracted the field limit of 11 starters.

The filly won a clockwise trial in Ballarat and finished second on debut in the listed Debutant Stakes, 1000m, at Caufield on October 12.
This is the eighth running of the classic, which this year has had its stakemoney increased by $50,000 to $250,000.
Last year's Magic Millions 2yo Clockwise Classic winner Hawker Hurricane returns to contest the $150,000 Magic Millions 3 and 4yo Classic, 1100m.
Hawker Hurricane has not won since last year's Ballarat Cup Day, but has not been far away in past two outings with a second in the listed Posiedon Stakes at Flemington on October 5 and a third at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.
Ballarat Turf Club's Cup Day program will feature 10 races, with the first run at 12.25pm and last at 5.55pm.
The Ballarat Cup is set down for 4.40pm.
With the track rated a good4 and the rail in the true position on what has traditionally been known as the outer track, the meeting has attrracted 159 acceptors. Seven races have field limits.
