The high-standard fields resulted in an increase in turnover of more than 7 per cent, bucking the industry trend across the state in recent months.
Record prize money attracted high quality racing and full fields for most of the 10-race program
Ballarat Turf Club CEO Belinda Glass said the club was very proud of its efforts and the work that went into another very successful Cup Day.
"Results of this calibre endorse the industry decision to close out the Victorian Spring Racing Carnival with a feature standalone Saturday meeting at Ballarat," she said.
"We hope this wagering result will be taken into account when the racing calendar is planned in future and that our Cup Day will be held on the same day for many years to come."
The club recorded an attendance of 9,280 people.
