Thousands flocked to Victoria Park for the music event which ran until 11 and then many more kicked on in the Ballarat CBD.
Let's have a look back at how the day went.
10.30PM
Ballarat police Inspector Dan Davison said while people behaved well overall and most attended to have a good time, a lot of concerning behaviour was also exhibited.
While the exact numbers won't be released until the morning when the operation concludes, Inspector Davison confirmed a number of people were charged in the morning in relation to drugs and others for public drunkenness later in the day.
He said police were concerned by the attitude towards recreational drug use, with many people questioned for drug possession directed towards diversion programs.
Inspector Davison said police were kept busy throughout the day enforcing the operator's liquor licensing requirements to reduce the risk of alcohol fuelled harm, though several fights did break out inside the festival.
The Courier witnessed several fence jumpers later in the day, who were quickly escorted out by security, while other unruly and intoxicated attendees were led out.
Another was arrested and taken away in a divisional van.
Police and the mounted unit will later tonight move their operation into the central business district as festival-goers head to after parties.
The highway patrol will also be on the streets to address and reduce the possible risk of road trauma, to deter any intoxicated people from choosing to drive.
The Courier understands a number of people were treated for the side effects of drugs, while a young man was transported to Ballarat Base Hospital after a suspected drug overdose.
