The pair visited the Western Bulldogs' store in Mair St for the Ballarat Christmas Open Day.
Supporters renewed memberships, children got photos with Schache and Sweet and there was even an appearance from the club's mascot Caesar the bulldog.
Schache, who has just signed a new contract with the club, played in Ballarat against Adelaide in 2019 and joined the chorus of players praising the surface at Mars Stadium.
"I reckon it was one of the best surfaces we play on all around the country," he said.
Sweet is yet to make his AFL debut, but said his goals were to work hard in the pre-season and put pressure on coaching staff to select him for round one of the 2020 season.
The Bulldogs will play games against Port Adelaide and Gold Coast in Ballarat next year.
