Pleasant Street Primary School assistant principal Helen Romeril has confirmed Santa will be making an appearance amid his hectic schedule, to the bumper annual market. Instead of his sleigh, Santa is likely to catch a ride with his friends from the fire brigade on one of their truck.
Christmas Fest is back with bigger again, building on what was a 20 per cent increase in stall holders last year. There will be more than 150 community traders across a range of goods from jewellery and crafts to homemade produce.
The event, now in its ninth year, continues to have a lengthy waiting list for stall holders hoping to stake a spot in the popular market.
Biggest drawcard Santa Land, where Santa can officially be found for photos and a wish-list chat, is once again a major feature filled with face painting crazy hair, decoration-making and biscuit-making.
Food stalls will include pizza from The Forge and live entertainment will feature musician Adam Cameron, the school choir and a special performance from Ballarat Lyric Theatre.
- Christmas Fest by the Lake will run from 4-8pm.
