The nine-year-old Creswick boy has raised over $5000 over the past two years, growing his hair to help children with alopecia. His hair will be turned into a wig for a child who has lost all their hair.
"We met a boy on holidays who was growing his hair and I thought I'd love to do that," Fletch said.
"I was really nervous today when they cut it off at school because it was in front of over 100 people."
Fletch's mum Emma Martin said she was proud her son had achieved his goal, something he decided to do when he was just seven years old.
"The cost to create a wig for a person with alopecia is around $4000-$6000 because it needs to be a medical grade wig and is a bit more specialised," Ms Martin said.
