More than 70 athletes from across the state descended on Ballarat for the inaugural Perfit Throwdown at Perfit Health and Wellness in Ballarat.
Competing across five different workouts, athletes were tested in all facets of fitness as they worked to standout among the rest.
"The whole idea is to test the individuals in different facets of fitness and leave no stone unturned," event coordinator Anthony Ebery said.
"Athletes might be really good at one thing like strength, but not as good at cardio, so we wanted to find the best athlete across he board."
Eight male and female winners were named on the day across four different categories.
Ebery said he hoped the day would mark the start of an annual event.
"It's been really positive, everyone has enjoyed the atmosphere it has created, which is what cross-fit is about," he said.
