The annual toy collection has seen the brick making company's 90 employees work together with the assistance of Toyworld to collect toys which will be handed out as part of the 3BA Christmas Appeal.
3BA Appeal ambassador Peter Caligari said the appeal aimed to give something back to children who may not get a visit from Santa this year.
"Instead of buying corporate gifts for clients, Selkirk's devote that money to buying toys for children through the 3BA appeal for those families here in Ballarat," Mr Caligari said.
"It's a great example of a very caring corporate citizen knowing that we do have people here in Ballarat that are in desperate circumstances and they are prepared to support these families and in particular the children of these families."
Selkirk executive assistant Karen Osborne said the business approaches Toyworld each year which helps supply the gifts.
"We go up to Toyworld each year and say, 'this is a budget' and they help us out and they deliver all the toys up here," she said.
"We have about 90 staff and they all just do what they can."
St Vincent de Paul's Alan West said it was a wonderful support for the four agencies across Ballarat who benefit.
"There are so many families living in absolute poverty," Mr West said. "If the average Joe in the street could see what we see daily they would be shocked, really.
"It's getting worse and we're finding mental health and loneliness are particularly the big problems. We do what we can.
"These toys will go into Christmas hampers across the four agencies, Uniting Care, The Salvation Army, Anglicare and St Vincent de Paul's and will be shared equally."
