A summer chock-full of fun at Creswick Woollen Mills

Creswick Woollen Mills officially launched its site upgrade with a yarn cutting ceremony last week, on Friday December 6. The $1.2 million dollar investment, part funded by the State Government of Victoria, enables the Mill to meet the needs of its thriving Australian tourist business and local success story.

The investment has been used to fund four key areas:

  • The new animal farm, designed to welcome and accommodate local and international tourists
  • The new Mill Café, serving delicious local produce
  • An international tourist welcome centre
  • Traffic management, particularly for bus and coach parking

And just in the nick of time, it seems! This summer, Creswick will host its summer school holiday event, Get Up Close And Personal With An Alpaca!, for three consecutive weeks. Beginning January 6 and ending January 22, this special school holiday event will run every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ten dollars per person includes meeting four alpacas and two sheep in a small pen, where visitors can feed fresh fruit to the animals, pet them and grab some great photos. The $10 entry fee can be redeemed back as an in-store voucher.
