A woman in her late teens is lucky to be alive after the car she was driving hit a tree. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at Mercer Street, Meredith, about 10pm on Saturday. The woman, in a stable condition with cuts and abrasions and chest injuries, was transported by road ambulance to Geelong hospital and arrived just before midnight.
