Annie McCartin has been reappointed as head coach for North Ballarat City's tilt at a third-straight A-grade premiership. The majority of the 2019 team has also re-signed, including the reigning Ballarat Football Netball League best and fairest Maddy Selmon, Poppy Douglass, Gina McCartin, Emma Church, Zoe Nevett and Laura McDonald. Past league best and fairest Stacey McCartin is set for a return to the court after the birth of her first child. She missed most of the 2019 campaign, which saw the Northies defeat East Point in the grand final. In other news, the club has appointed Ali Driscoll as netball director and locked away coaches for many of its lower grade teams. Hannah Gluyas (C-grade), Anthea Coutts and Carla Walker (D-grade), Kay Smyth (E-grade) and Zoe Nevett (19/under) have all agreed to coach next year. The B-grade position remains vacant. The new BFNL fixture is set to be released on Friday, December 20.
