Versatile defender Sam Cue has signed over from Springbank, where he enjoyed plenty of success in the Central Highlands Football League.
Cue is a past skipper of the Tigers and won senior flags with the team in 2015 and 2016.
He also played in the Tigers' grand final loss to Bungaree in 2014.
East Point, which is again being coached by Jake Bridges, is shooting for a third-straight Ballarat Football League premiership in 2020.
The Kangaroos will commence their new campaign with a clash against Sebastopol on Saturday, April 18. East Point beat the Kookaburras in last season's grand final by 14 points at Mars Stadium.
After the highly-anticipated rematch, the Kangaroos have games against Lake Wendouree, Melton and Bacchus Marsh in the early rounds of the year.
