The driver of the red vehicle, a man in his 90's, became trapped in the vehicle after it rolled following a crash on Humffray Street North.
His injuries have been classified as minor.
UPDATE 12.20pm: The driver of the red vehicle has been freed from the car and is being assessed by paramedics.
EARLIER: Paramedics are attending the scene of a two-car collision on Humffray Street North near Rice Street, where the driver of one vehicle remains trapped.
Emergency services were called to the scene prior to midday with reports one vehicle, a sedan, had rolled before righting itself. The driver of that vehicle is currently conscious, but CFA and emergency services are preparing to cut the vehicle open to remove them.
One local said they had heard a loud crash and initially thought a painting had fallen from a wall, before realising what had happened.
Police have closed Humffray Street in both directions and traffic is being diverted.
CFA, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police are in attendance at the scene.
