Lexton's Rainbow Serpent Festival has been given the green light to go ahead by organisers, announcing the decision on its Facebook page on Monday evening.
"Our team are confident of being able to produce a safe and spectacular RSF2020," the post read about the event set for January 24-27, 2020.
Revellers had been left in limbo since before Christmas, when the organisers announced it would suspend ticket sales.
Although the site of the festival was damaged in a recent blaze, organisers have said the festival's major infrastructure remained intact and the grounds were in a safe condition.
"As well as damage to trees, the greatest impact to the site has been to some of our facilities, including our recycling centre and artworks," the post continued.
"The vast majority of our infrastructure, including The Village and main operating compounds have been unaffected. It is likely there will need to be some adjustments to the layout and format but we are positive all featured artists will perform and it will no doubt be an unforgettable year."
Brock Gibson, who has been to the festival multiple times and was planning to attend in 2020, said he would not be dissuaded from going to the Lexton festival, despite the recent blazes.
"I'm going to buy a ticket as soon as I can now... I'm rapt," he said.
"I know (festival organisers) wouldn't make an uninformed decision, they're taking the time to do the right thing and make sure that if it does happen it's safe."
He said he trusted organisers when they say it would be safe when going ahead.
"Of course it's concerning but I think the people they're talking to and working with know a lot more about bushfires than I do."
Festival organisers stated they would work with the Pyrenees Shire Council in the new year and await final confirmation the event will be able to go ahead.
