BCA captain and selector Nathan Yates is pleased with the quality list of 14 players which will represent the association at the February tournament.
The final cut follows the release of an initial squad in November.
The most notable absentee from that original group is Darley import and former West Indies international Danza Hyatt, who has decided not to play in the carnival.
However, there is still stars aplenty for the BCA, which has secured the services of former first class player Sam Miller, past Victoria Country representative Heath Pyke, overseas recruits Harry Killoran and Sam Burgess and gun quick Ash McCafferty.
Buninyong's Harli Givvens has been named as the emergency.
"It's great to see some of the best players in the competition committing to the week and trying to take out the provincial title," Yates said.
"We have a big game on day one against Geelong, but we are confident that we have done a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure we are fielding the best team we can and think we have the squad that is good enough to take it out."
Ballarat earned a berth back in the provincial grade by winning through to last season's division two grand final, which it lost against Bendigo.
Ballarat will kick off its campaign with a clash against Geelong at Croydon Park on February 17.
After that, the side has clashes against Sale-Maffra at AK Line Reserve in Watsonia and West Gippsland at Bill Lawry Oval in Northcote.
After those three pool games, semi-finals get underway on Thursday, February 20 before the decider the following day.
Yates' Mt Clear teammate Darren Fletcher has been named BCA coach, with Darren Woodyatt team manager and Stuart Lacy official scorer.
