The Mounties knocked over the Red Caps - missing key players such as Sam Miller, Cole Roscholler and Anthony Beacham - for just 98 and then chased down the target with seven wickets in hand.
The success leaves Mt Clear in outright second spot on the Ballarat Cricket Association first grade table. The Mounties are still well behind Darley, which continued its unbeaten season against Brown Hill at the Western Oval.
The Lions made 2-122 and then bowled out the Bulls for just 80. Danza Hyatt made 62 not out and then took four wickets for the winners.
Other winners on Saturday were East Ballarat, Golden Point and Buninyong, which snatched victory from North Ballarat under lights.
