A near-faultless beginner, Speed Star possesses electrifying acceleration.
But wait, there's more. He loves the '"red" trap, which he has jumped from on nine occasions for seven wins and two seconds.
And once again he will jump from box one in Wednesday night's Anniversary Trophy, 450m, in Ballarat, which carries $8500 for the winner.
Prepared by leading trainer Andrea Dailly, Speed Star is also a dab hand at Morshead Park with five wins and six seconds from 14 starts.
"He loves Ballarat, it's probably his favourite track," Dailly said.
"He's drawn beautifully, and he's come out of last weekend's Warragul Cup in perfect order."
Speed Star finished fifth to La Grand Quality in the group 2 final.
Dailly rates Tiggerlong Tonk (5) and Charging Yaala (8) as Speed Star's main adversaries.
"Tiggerlong Tonk is group race credentialed, while Charging Yaala is highly underrated," Dailly said.
Speed Star has started 64 times for 27 wins, 14 seconds and 10 thirds. He also finished fourth to Aston Kimetto in the 2018 Ballarat Cup.
The Watchdog has assessed Speed Star a $2.90 favourite with Charging Yaala $3 and Tiggerlong Tonk $3.
