It will be a challenging task for the Bolts, who will travel to Melbourne to take on last-placed Tullamarine on Saturday.
The Bolts enter the contest in good form, but will likely meet a motivated Tullamarine outfit desperate to record its first win of the season.
After making the final of the Victoria North-West Twenty20 final last year, Ballarat began the one-day season slowly, losing its first two matches at the tail-end of 2019.
But the side flashed major signs of life after the new year, with a thumping 157-run win over Craigieburn.
Opener Lillee Barendsen was instrumental, scoring 120 runs for her side, while Jenna Fowlie led a balanced bowling attack to finish with figures of 3-9.
The Bolts sit fourth on the competition table.
