According to the Powercor website, 20 homes or businesses in Beaufort, 125 in Raglan, 28 in Main Lead, 21 in Waterloo and 13 in Chute remain without power.
It is expected to be restored about 3.30am, according to the distribution company's website.
UPDATE, 5.30pm: Powercor has restored power to around 900 homes in Creswick after a tree branch fell into powerlines around 4pm.
Crews are working to have the remaining 700 customers progressively restored throughout the afternoon and evening.
EARLIER: More than 1600 customers across Creswick are without power this afternoon.
Powercor is investigating the outages, caused by damaging winds of up to 61km/h and wind gusts of up to 76km/h.
Emergency crews were called out to trees down across the region, including most recently at Newington about 3.40pm.
Power is not expected to be restored until about 7pm at this stage, according to the Powercor website.
