The Ballarat region has been hit by fires, including a fast-moving grassfire on Wednesday evening near Allendale.
There's dozens of initiatives and fundraisers aiming to help support people, and animals, across the state, and musicians in Ballarat's music scene want to lend a hand.

Led by hardcore outfit Anticline, a diverse lineup of Ballarat's up and comers are hitting The Eastern on January 26, promising something for fans of all kinds of genres.
Entry is pay what you feel, and punters can vote for which charitable cause all the proceeds should go to via the Facebook event page.
Indie rockers Meraki Minds and Matt Murray and the Durry Busters, singer-songwriters Cassells and Matt McLean, and The Serendipitous Don Shoon are also on the bill, as well as the return of The Double D's

Anticline's Jack Hynes said he was keen to see the rest of the bands - they're not often on the same lineup.
"I've seen Matt Murray and the Durry Busters a couple of times, they rip, they're a really good band," he said.
"All the acoustic artists, I haven't seen them do acoustic renditions of stuff, I've seen them all in bands, so it'll be cool to see what they come out and do."

Bassist Caleb King said the gig had been organised as quickly as possible once the date became available.
He added the choice of charity was important.

"A lot of these fundraiser events, it's already determined where this money's going, and sometimes you might not agree or think it should be going somewhere else - we've decided to leave that to the people," he said.
Jordan Cassells, who creates music as Cassells, said he hoped The Eastern would be full on the day.

"It'll be such a diverse crowd because of the different fanbases for each artist all coming together," he said.
"It's going to be a memory in itself, we're going to look back and think during this epidemic, we did something that could have, or has, brought some improvement using our talent."
