The 6-foot-10 rim-protector started all 23 games for the Miners last season, serving as the team's defensive anchor, as the club rose to the top of the standings.
He said he had 'unfinished business' in Ballarat.
"I'm excited to be back, I definitely have unfinished business from last season, so I'm really excited for the opportunity for us to win the championship." he said.
Acuoth produced a number memorable performances in 2019, including a career-best 11-block outing against the Albury-Wodonga Bandits, which went viral around the league.

His impact on both ends saw him land a contract with the South East Melborne Phoenix following the season.
But his size wasn't enough to rescue the Miners from being overpowered in the preliminary final by the bigger-bodied Nunawading Specters.
After attending the grand opening of the Ballarat Sports Events Centre in late 2019, Acuoth said he was excited to hit the courts.
"I am really looking forward to playing in the new stadium so hopefully we can fill it out every home game." he said.

Head Coach of the Hotondo Homes Miners Brendan Joyce was thrilled to have Acuoth back to play a critical role for the team.
He likened his defensive ability to that of Sydney Kings player Andrew Bogut, calling him the 'best shot blocker in the league.'
"Very happy to have our big man return as he is a major part of our team and will continue to improve." Joyce said.
"I have no doubt he will continue to improve and eventually become an important player for his NBL team and quite possibly play overseas."
Acuoth is the eighth signing for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners.
