The opening bowler has been brought in to replace Oliver Hayes, who has declared himself unavailable for the opening two days of the tournament.
Hayes, from East Ballarat, played for the BCA in last Sunday's win over Bendigo District, taking 1-40 from nine overs.
Priyankara's 2019-20 first grade season has so far netted 17 wickets at an average of 19.5. He has also made a couple of handy knocks with the bat.
A past Melbourne Country Week squad member when playing for North Ballarat, Priyankara joined the Bulls from Melton during the off-season. He then helped lure friends Imesh Udayanga and Viraj Pushpakumara from Sri Lanka.
The BCA earned a berth back in the Melbourne Country Week provincial grade by winning through to last year's division two grand final, which it lost against Bendigo.
The team will start the 2020 tournament with a battle against Geelong on February 17 before games against Sale-Maffra and West Gippsland in the following days. After that, finals will be played.
Nathan Yates is captain of the BCA team, with his Mt Clear teammate Darren Fletcher coach.
