Ebony Lane came from behind to win the North Ballarat Sports Club Ballarat Women's Gift final.

Running off the backmark of 4.25 metres, the Melbourne native chased down the field to win the $8500 showcase on Sunday.
She didn't hide her excitement after beating a quality field, which included Ballarat's Tara Domaschenz, who finished fourth off a 4.50-metre mark.
The accolades didn't end there. Lane also took home a bonus $500 after recording the fastest female performance in the heats.
After running third at the event in 2018, she said she wanted to go a couple better.
"It has been one of my favorite meets to come to since I started doing the circuit," she said.
"Two years ago i made the final and this time I really wanted to win."
Lane rode a quick start to to edge out Buninyong's Tiana Sillito, who finished runner-up in a time of 13.849.
After making up ground through the middle section, Lane said she needed to come home strong.
"Once I got through the middle section I tried to keep the legs turning as much as I could," she said.
The result marked the second runner-up finish in as many years for Sillito, who ran off a 15.50 metre mark.
After getting off to a good start, the 19-year-old said she struggled down the stretch.
"Ebony beat me in my heat so I always knew she would be there," she said.
Meanwhile, Ballarat's Grace O'Dwyer claimed the 400-metre open handicap in a time of 47.975 seconds, off a 72-metre mark.
