Steve (Tubby) Taylor will open the batting during his milestone game against VRI Delacombe in the Ballarat Cricket Association fifth-grade one-day competition.
After getting the call up from the skipper, he said he hoped the rain held out.
"The body is holding up fine, hopefully I get another 200 games up after this," he said.
Taylor has racked up more than 3600 runs since joining the club back in the 1996-97 season. He's taken 121 wickets, 103 catches and has a batting average of more than 20 runs a game.
"We're pretty low-key at Burunbeet and I guess that's why I play out there," he said.
"We take our cricket seriously but in the meantime there is a lot of banter which I like."
Having never played outdoor cricket before, Taylor joined the club at the behest of some mates from footy. He said he has never looked back.
"Because it's a country club, we don't take things too seriously," he said.
"We all want to play cricket. We're all cricketers with beer-drinking habits who love playing the game.
Taylor said the banter within the club has picked up during the week as he has edged closer to his milestone.
He will become the 10th player to play 200 games.
