Police searched Samantha Broes' bedroom on June 18 and allegedly found a number of zip lock bags containing drugs which amounted to 3.4 grams of ecstasy, 6.4 grams of cocaine and 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, and $3360 cash.

The 31-year-old was arrested and taken to the Ballarat Police Station where she refused to speak to police or provide her passcode to her mobile phone.

Broes was bailed but five months later on November 19, police returned to her house for another search while she and co-accused Tristan Merakis were present.

Police allegedly uncovered 326 grams of cannabis, 30 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of ecstasy in rock and powder form, 21 capsules believed to be ecstasy, $520 cash and three mobile phones.

Police opposed Broes' second application for bail at the Ballarat Magistrates Court on Friday because they considered her an unacceptable risk.

Police prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Steve Kent said a possible connection to music festivals, where drugs are sold, could cause significant damage to community members.

"We are dealing with serious offending and there is a gap between June and November where the accused has again been caught with significant amounts of drugs. She has committed these offences while on bail for trafficking and demonstrates a pattern," Leading Senior Constable Steve Kent said.

"We maintain she is an unacceptable risk of committing further offences and endangering the welfare and wellbeing of the public."

In trying to show new facts and circumstances, Broes' defence counsel said the time spent on remand would exceed any sentence and if bailed, she would have a range of support services helping her and she had the support of her father.

Magistrate Barry Schultz said the quantity of drugs found was frightening.

"I regard this as very, very serious drug trafficking. Significantly after she was bailed, she is found with more drugs of various kind," Mr Schultz said.

He said Broes fell short of showing exceptional circumstances and he must refuse bail. The magistrate said she was an unacceptable risk of endangering the safety and wellbeing of another person.

Broes will return to court for a contested mention on April 8. She has been charged with trafficking and possessing drug offences.
