The 660m series was developed to encourage new greyhounds and trainers into distance racing.
The grand final, which carries $10,000 for the winner, on Wednesday, February 26, will be made up of the fastest eight qualifiers from the preludes.
A $3,000-to-the-winner consolation for the slowest eight time will also be run.
The series has already unveiled a top staying prospect in Shima Mist, which heads the qualifiers after a track record breaking run in week two.
Prepared by Andrea Dailly, Shima Mist won by 15 lengths win in 37.48 seconds.
Dailly has three of the top four qualifiers as the leader board stands - Shima Mist (37.48), Rockstar Beav (37.76) and Rockstar Prince (37.87).
Two preludes will be run on Wednesday night's 12-race program, which also features a country championship heat.
