Ballarat, which is striving for its first provincial title since 2008, will meet Ferntree Gully in a semi-final on Thursday.
The BCA locked in a semi-final spot after a second wash-out in as many days in the Victorian Country Cricket League carnival at Ivanhoe on Wednesday.
Ballarat was scheduled to play West Gippsland, but the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
This was enough to ensure the BCA top position ahead of Sale-Maffra in its pool.
Ferntree Gully finished second to Bendigo, which will meet Sale-Maffra in the other semi-final, in the other pool..
All four provincial matches were called off on Wednesday with points being shared.
The BCA's first round 97-run win over powerhouse Geelong at the Eastern Oval on Monday took it to the top of its pool and that is where it stayed.
Ballarat coach Darren Fletcher said a semi-final appearance was a fitting reward for the outstanding performance against Geelong - a win which set up the week.
He said it was a satisfying outcome for everyone involved.
Fletcher said while the rain had not been ideal for the competition, the "weather gods" had shone on Ballarat's campaign.
Fletcher has confirmed that the semi-final line-up will have two changes to the side which defeated Geelong.
Pace bowler Ollie Hayes (East Ballarat) and English all-rounder Sam Burgess (Ballarat-Redan) replace Brown Hill duo Prabath Priyankara and Ryan Knowles, who are each unavailable owing to work commitments.
The rest of the side is captain Nathan Yates, Jarrod Burns, Jacob Smith, Heath Pyke, Leigh Lorenzen, Jason Knowles, Steve Nicholson, Sam Miller, Ash McCafferty and Harry Killoran.
Fletcher, Miller, Pyke and Ryan Knowles were all teammates in the BCA team which won the country week provincial title 11 years ago.
The past decade has been dominated by Geelong, which has won six finals.
Mornington Pennsula is a two-time winner in that time, while Bendigo and Sale-Maffra have one title each.
