The CHFL and CHNL are combining with "Lachie's Legacy" to run the activity with the aim of encouraging youngsters to take up the sports for the upcoming season.
"Lachie's Legacy" was formed as a tribute to Dunnstown footballer Lachie Poulter, who died at the age of 25 after collapsing during a match in 2018.
Fostering the development of football and netball in rural areas is a primary objective of the program.
CHFL president Doug Hobson said the free fun day was all about making it as easy as possible for youngsters to get involved, no matter what their circumstances.
He said as well as being fun, the day would provide families with an opportunity to link up with clubs.
"Lachie's Legacy" also provides equipment such as a football boots and netball shoes to children in circumstances which make it difficult for them to acquire these and other items.
Hobson said anyone with any football or netball footwear no longer required could take them to the fun day, from where they would be distributed to those in need. Everyone who offers a "trade-in'' will receive an Intersport voucher.
The fun day, from 10.30am to 1pm, will also include coaching clinics and feature appearances by former Essendon and now Hawthorn AFL player Michael Hartley, Essendon's Mason Redman and former Essendon player Jackson Merrett, who is now in the WAFL.
